“The 4Cs of Diamond"

The "4Cs" of diamonds are a fundamental grading system for determining the quality and value of a diamond.
The 4C are:
Carats: Measures the weight of the diamond. One carat is equal to 0.2 grams. The higher the carat, the larger and more valuable the diamond.
Colour: Rates the color clarity of the diamond. Colorless (colorless) diamonds are considered the most valuable. The scale ranges from D (colorless) to Z (colored).
Clarity It concerns the presence of internal imperfections (inclusions) or external (blemishes) in the diamond. Diamonds with fewer imperfections are rarer and therefore more valuable.
Cut It is about how the diamond was cut and shaped. A good cut affects the brilliance and brightness of the diamond. Cuts can vary in shape and proportion, affecting the overall appearance of the stone.

These four factors combined determine the value and appearance of a diamond, making it unique and precious.

“Fluorescence”

Diamond fluorescence is a phenomenon in which a diamond emits visible light when exposed to ultraviolet radiation. This effect can range from nearly invisible to intense, and its intensity can affect the appearance and value of a diamond. Fluorescence can be a variety of colors, including blue, yellow, or white, and can affect the appearance of a diamond under UV light, sometimes giving it a distinctive sparkle or, in some cases, a slight hue. Fluorescence is generally rated as part of diamond grading, but its impact on value depends on the degree of visibility and individual preference. In general, low to moderate fluorescence is considered acceptable and can even enhance the appearance of some diamonds, while intense fluorescence can negatively affect value, especially if it creates an unwanted tint.
